Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Calypso Application Analyst Programmer to work on projects for a renowned bank. This role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and improving the Calypso back-office platform used in capital markets operations, particularly for Repo and Secured Funding.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Must have 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Calypso back-office platform (version 16 or above);
- Must have experience in key modules such as Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting, Scheduled Tasks, Swift Messages, Transfers, SDI, Accounting, Pricers, and Workflows;
- Must have functional knowledge in Confirmations, Settlement, Position, and Accounting modules;
- Exposure to operational tools and frameworks like Control-M, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, MQ Series, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and Elastic Search;
- Understanding of the financial trade lifecycle including repos, bonds, securities, and SLB, with experience in reconciliation and regulatory reporting;
- Proficiency in Java, PL / SQL, Linux, and scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell;
- Hands-on experience in application monitoring, incident resolution, and Level 2 support across complex environments;
- Familiarity with database systems and DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes;
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with global teams and business stakeholders.
Desired Skill-set
Exposure to Domain-Driven Design and Microservices (Spring Boot);Understanding of front office / market risk environments and financial products;Knowledge of automation frameworks and test libraries;Responsibilities
Resolve incidents and user requests related to Calypso swiftly and effectively; provide updates and coordinate with impacted teams;Perform Level 2 application support for back-office users, including analysis, troubleshooting, and escalation;Monitor batch chains and application health, especially during Singapore morning and early afternoon windows;Define and implement application monitoring using monitoring-as-code practices;Drive problem management by identifying root causes and proposing long-term solutions or automation;Maintain and update documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials for users;Participate in production deployments, release testing, and validations-including rotating weekend releases;Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure and development, to streamline support processes;Contribute to continuous improvement by coaching junior members and sharing technical knowledge;Ensure adherence to internal standards and actively contribute to improving processes.Should you be interested in this career opportunity, please send in your updated resume to apply@sciente.com at the earliest.
