Cloud Engineer – Infrastructure

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and manage hybrid infrastructure using VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Oracle Virtualization

Administer RedHat, Oracle Linux, and SUSE Linux systems across physical and virtual environments

Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters (Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift) for containerized workloads

Automate system configurations, patching, and deployments using Ansible, Puppet, and Chef

Perform OS upgrades, kernel patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Support Oracle RAC setup, OVM management, and storage provisioning

Configure and manage NFS, DNS, RAID, bonding, LVM, and file systems

Manage SAN / NAS storage (EMC, NetApp, Huawei), including data replication and storage migration

Lead or support data center migration, hardware refresh, and cloud-readiness projects

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration, monitoring, and infrastructure improvements

Document procedures, provide knowledge transfer, and ensure infrastructure compliance with standards

Requirements :

Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or cloud operations

Proven experience with Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, SUSE), VMware vSphere, and Kubernetes / OpenShift

Strong skills in infrastructure automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Experience with Oracle Virtualization, RAC, and enterprise storage systems (SAN / NAS)

Familiarity with clustering technologies (VCS, HACMP) and high availability configurations

Hands-on with data center operations, migration planning, and hardware lifecycle management

Proficient in system performance monitoring and root cause analysis

Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Certifications in Linux, VMware, or Kubernetes are an advantage
