Job description

About Sleek

Through proprietary software and AI, along with a focus on customer delight, Sleek makes the back-office easy for micro SMEs.

We give Entrepreneurs time back to focus on what they love doing - growing their business and being with customers. With a surging number of Entrepreneurs globally, we are innovating in a highly lucrative space.

We operate 3 business segments:

  1. Corporate Secretary: Automating the company incorporation, secretarial, filing, Nominee Director, mailroom and immigration processes via custom online robots and SleekSign. We are the market leaders in Singapore with ~5% market share of all new business incorporations
  2. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Redefining what it means to do Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tax and Payroll thanks to our proprietary SleekBooks ledger, AI tools and exceptional customer service
  3. FinTech payments: Overcoming a key challenge for Entrepreneurs by offering digital banking services to new businesses

Sleek launched in 2017 and now has around 15,000 customers across our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the UK. We have around 500 staff with an intact startup mindset.

We have recently raised Series B financing off the back of >70% compound annual growth in Revenue over the last 5 years. Sleek has been recognised by The Financial Times, The Straits Times, Forbes and LinkedIn as one of the fastest growing companies in Asia.

Backed by world-class investors, we are on track to be one of the few cash flow positive, tech-enabled unicorns based out of Singapore.

We are seeking highly collaborative penultimate year students to join our Community Team as Intern. Fresh Graduates are welcomed to apply.

Mission:

To elevate Sleek’s vibrant entrepreneur community by fostering meaningful connections, strengthening engagement, and delivering impactful experiences aligned with business objectives.

This role exists to transform Sleek’s online and offline communities into dynamic, thriving ecosystems where entrepreneurs can connect, collaborate, and learn from one another in a supportive and engaging environment.

Outcomes:

Community Growth & Reach

Support the expansion of Sleek’s entrepreneur communities by helping execute a clear regional community strategy aligned with overall business goals.

Engagement & Member Experience

Drive meaningful and consistent interactions within the community, ensuring discussions stay active, engaging, and valuable. Help create a supportive environment where members feel heard, questions are addressed, and challenges are resolved promptly.

Events & Campaign Support

Assist in planning and delivering engaging online and offline events, workshops, and campaigns that resonate with entrepreneurs and drive strong community participation.

Relationship Building

Help foster a trusted and welcoming community where members see Sleek as a go-to resource, encouraging peer-to-peer connections, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Insights & Reporting

Support the tracking of community growth and engagement metrics, contributing to reports and sharing insights that help improve community strategies and outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams to develop and share meaningful content that brings value to the community and enhances member experience.

Requirements

To be applicable for this role, you will need to be located in Singapore and be able to commit to a 6-month internship period.

  • Bachelor's Degree and above (final year or fresh graduates).
  • Familiarity with social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube.
  • Ability to create simple creatives using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and insights.
  • Using AI tools to create content and videos.
  • Willingness to learn and a curious mindset.
  • Be highly collaborative, as the role will work closely with other department members on cross-functional projects.
  • Strong teamwork, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently; can prioritise and adjust tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Good to have prior experience in community management, marketing, or a closely related field.

Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates that have a proven track record of embodying the below attributes in their recent roles:

Ownership and reliability: We take full responsibility for our work and outcomes. Ownership means proactively stepping up, following through on commitments, and seeing tasks through from start to finish without needing constant direction. Reliability is about being someone others can depend on—delivering consistently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards. Together, this mindset builds trust within the team and ensures the community experience is always well-supported and dependable.

Humility: There is so much we don’t know. Humility allows for open-mindedness to feedback and a willingness to learn from others. It paves the way for collaboration and creates a positive work environment. It is a key ingredient of self awareness and emotional intelligence.

People-first mindset: We believe communities are built around people, not platforms. A people-first mindset means genuinely caring about the experiences, needs, and growth of our members. It’s about listening actively, creating value for others, and always considering how our actions improve the community experience. This mindset helps build trust, belonging, and long-term engagement.

Analytical and data-driven: We make decisions based on insights, not assumptions. Being analytical and data-driven means using community metrics, feedback, and trends to understand what’s working and what isn’t. It helps us continuously improve engagement, optimise initiatives, and create more meaningful impact for our members and the business.

Collaborative: We believe the best outcomes are achieved together. Collaboration means working openly across teams, sharing ideas, and leveraging diverse perspectives to build stronger communities. It encourages transparency, alignment, and collective ownership in delivering the best experience for our members.

Can have tough conversations in a positive way: It’s not a matter of if, but when difficult interpersonal situations arise. Disagreement, conflict and disappointment are a given in a fast moving business where people care about their work. People that proactively have tough conversations with kindness build empathy, trust and great working relationships.

The interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role.

TA Introduction

A ~30 minute chat with members of the HR Team, where they will give you some real-life challenges that this role faces, and will ask for your approach to solving them.

Soft Skills Assessment

A ~45 minute chat with the hiring manager, where they will dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.

Offers
We’ll make a non-binding offer verbally or over email, followed by a couple of short phone or video calls with references that you provide to us.

Requirement for background screening

Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role.

This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

  • Your education
  • Any criminal history
  • Any political exposure
  • Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history

We will ask for your consent before conducting these checks. Depending on your role at Sleek, an adverse result on one of these checks may prohibit you from passing probation.

By submitting a job application, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Data Privacy Statement for Candidates, found at sleek.com.

Benefits

Some other great things about working at Sleek…

If you need to start early or start late to cater to your family or other needs, we don’t mind, so long as you get your work done and proactively communicate. You can also work fully remote from anywhere in the world for 1 month each year

Financial benefits: We pay competitive market salaries and provide staff with generous paid time off and holiday schedules. Certain staff at Sleek are also eligible for our employee share ownership plan and can share in the upside of our stellar growth trajectory as we work toward listing on a prominent stock exchange in the Asia Pacific region.
