Roles & Responsibilities

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Interpretation of Drawings

Analyze architectural and structural drawings (plans, sections, elevations).
Ensure construction aligns with design specifications.

Preparing Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)

Calculate steel requirements, cutting lengths, and bending shapes.

Provide accurate data for steelworkers and billing purposes.

Work Allocation & Supervision

Assign tasks to laborers and monitor progress.

Ensure proper use of materials and adherence to timelines.

Site Preparation & Layout

Oversee site clearing, grading, and boundary setup.

Install temporary utilities and drainage systems.

Quality Control & Inspection

Conduct regular site inspections.

Ensure compliance with building codes and project standards.

Geotechnical Analysis

Perform soil tests and assess foundation suitability.

Project Planning & Coordination

Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors.

Plan construction phases for timely completion2.

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

Prepare budgets and track expenses.

Report financial progress to senior engineers.

Safety Management

Enforce safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.

Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Stakeholder Communication

Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.

Address on-site issues and provide timely updates
