Overview

This is a prominent player in the energy sector, operating globally with a commitment to innovation and sustainability. The trading and supply business specialises in trading of various energy commodities including but not limited to distillates, transition and low carbon fuels. The Group is now on the search for a proven and highly credible Managing Director ('MD') to lead its Singapore and Asia operations.

Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the MD will be responsible for leading and managing both commercial and corporate teams. This role encompasses ownership of business development initiatives and fostering strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as counterparties, suppliers, financial institutions, regulators, and government agencies.

The MD will work closely with line managers to ensure robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. A key aspect is driving performance through efficiency, results, and change leadership. Additionally, the MD will champion a workplace culture aligned with the Group's values and co‑lead regional people management efforts.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a senior leadership role, whether as Managing Director or a similar position within energy trading. You will have a solid track record of driving performance excellence and continuous improvement, armed with deep understanding and a well‑established network in global energy markets. You are also described as an inspirational leader, with an astute level of strategic thinking and excellent stakeholder management abilities.
