Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Coordinate, schedule, and verify upcoming appointments
- Handle incoming phone calls and address patient questions with empathy and confidentiality
- Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHRs)
- Process insurance claims and handle co-pay collections
- Organize and prepare medical charts and necessary documentation for clinical staff
- Guide patients to examination rooms and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight)
- Support healthcare professionals during routine clinical procedures such as specimen collection and diagnostic tests
- Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked with essential medical supplies; assist in managing inventory
- Disinfect tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
