Description
Electrical & Instrument (E&I) Engineers play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical & Instrument systems across various industries such as construction, power generation, telecommunications, manufacturing, and more. Their expertise is essential in ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Manage Engineering and Procurement activities relating to E&I Works for a multidiscipline EPCC Project in the Oil & Gas / Energy Infrastructure industry.
- Familiar with Singapore codes (Electrical 89A, SS638, SS555, SS650 etc) and international codes, standards, and recommended practices to be adopted during EPCC phases of LNG, Oil & gas and / or Energy Infrastructure projects.
- Able to understand the control system architecture and relevant software typically used in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Manage EPC deliverables and work with PE and LEW as necessary.
- Managing, allocating resources and ensuring completion of E&I works.
- Managing project scope variations and change control.
- Plan and control procurement schedules and work with the procurement department to expedite vendor data and delivery.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to manage the progress for E&I works.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.
- Coordinate with client and other subcontractors for the project interface activities.
- Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan, closely working with construction team & project management team
- Able to lead the electricians and instrument technicians on site.
- Manage installation and commissioning of engineered equipment such as DCS, Fire & Gas Systems, Transformers, Switchgear, EDG and UPS.
- Monitoring project progress and performance.
- Provide regular progress reports.
- Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements as well as project requirements.
- Maintain good relationship with Site team & client technical representative.
Requirements
Preferably Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentAt least 10 years relevant experience in Oil / Gas and / or Energy Infrastructure Industry.Extensive knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls and Construction work processes.Possess a valid COMPEX Certificate 1,2,3, 4 and 12 will be added advantageTell employers what skills you have
