OUTLINE
Candidate is accountable
to manage and control the technical aspects of dry bulk fleet
safety management through effective optimization
efforts.
Candidate is also responsible to ensure
that the daily business activities are in compliance He or she must
ensure timely and accurate response to customer's request and
liaise with ship manager and each stakeholder (internal / external)
for smooth coordination for all
transactions.
Minimum
experience : at least 7 years in an international dry
bulk shipping experience, at least having worked as
i) master or chief engineer of capesize
bulkers,
ii) vessel manager to capesize bulkers
of the ship management company, and / or
iii)
technical representative of owners and / or charterers which operates
capesize bulkers,and proven leadership and management
experience.
Your duties essential
for the job : 1.Marine operation,
safety management
1)To establish and maintain a
safety and security policy of the Company and Company's
fleet.
2)Cooperating with ship management
company (SM), to supervise and study their HSEQ policy. To lead
familiarization of its HSEQ policy to the employees of the Company.
3)Cooperating with SM, to be a technical pic of
owner's crisis management stations in case of casualty with the
Company's fleet. To explain and report to the Company management
and parties concerned about details of the incident, its root
cause, corrective actions and preventive
actions.
4)To collect information, including but
not limited to, safety and pollution prevention, and to provide
these information to the employees and crew of Company's owning
vessels.
5)To provide charts, port information,
meteorological information and safety information in accordance
with international regulations and other relevant requirements. To
assess and advise if the vessel calling ports, anchorages, and / or
navigation routes are safe in all aspects.
6)To
investigate and analyze of maritime casualty risk, insurance policy
and claims.
7)To monitor the certificate
documentation of the Company's owning vessels, being a counterpart
of flag, class and other authorities.
8)To
advise environmental protection, safety supervision and epidemic
protection of the Company's fleet.
2.Hull,
machinery and maintenance matters
1)To monitor
SM's policy, including but not limited to, daily and long-term
maintenance.
2)To monitor SM's procurement and
supply of spare parts in order to maintain a good condition of the
Company's owning vessels, according to the flag, class and other
authorities' requirements.
3)To be a counterpart
of SM and class to carry out the certificate relating matters such
as application, change, inspection and filing.
4)To conduct analysis of fuel consumption and
optimization of the navigation of owning
vessels.
5)To review, revise (if necessary) and
approve an annual budget and temporary expenditure of the Company's
owning vessels, prepared by SM.
3.Commercial
related matters
1)To assist the preparation of
feasibility study of new tonnage investment.
2)To be responsible for the supervision of new
built vessels, including but not limited to, sea trial and
handover.
To be responsible for handover of
purchase of the second-hand
vessels.
Basic
requirements : Strong experience
& proficient knowledge in fleet safety
management
1) Excellent technical, analytical,
negotiation and presentation skills.
2) Good
computer proficiency and literacy with regards to extensive use and
application with spreadsheets, databases and presentation
packages.
3) Good verbal and written
communication skills in English Chinese and / or Japanese in order to
communicate with counterpart companies, group companies and the
Headquarter in Singapore, Shanghai and / or
Tokyo.
4) Ability to travel globally as
required.

cultural agility and adaptability
6) A team
player with transparent working manner and willing to take
ownership of an opportunity and hands-on in every aspect of the
job.
7) Punctuality and good attendance is a
MUST.
