Job Description :

Our client is a leading financial institution in Hong Kong and they have been providing innovative investment, and financial services across ASIA. Right now, they are seeking a Finance Director to lead financial strategy, planning, and risk management, ensuring strong financial health and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Strategy & Planning :

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.

Financial Control & Compliance :

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including IFRS, GAAP, and financial industry regulations.

Oversee financial risk management, ensuring proper internal controls.

Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure financial compliance.

Performance & Risk Management :

Monitor key financial metrics and conduct financial analysis to optimize business performance.

Identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

Manage capital allocation, investment planning, and financial modeling.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management :

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Collaborate with senior leadership, investors, and external partners.

Support M&A activities, due diligence, and financial restructuring as needed.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA / ACCA / CFA preferred.

At least 10+ years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong language skills such as English and Chinese is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management in the financial sector.

Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in working with financial regulators and audit processes.
