Position Overview
This position, reporting to the Head of Tax (APAC), is responsible for APAC entities’ tax compliance, tax provisions, direct / indirect taxes, tax controversy, transfer pricing as well as development and implementation of process and control procedures and leading strategic projects which support wider business growth within the region. This position will also interact with key finance, accounting, and other business partners across SHEIN.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for APAC corporate tax, GST / VAT, withholding tax and other compliance work
- Provide tax advisory support and direction to internal stakeholders
- Partner with Business, Accounting, Legal, Treasury and other functions to communicate, execute and protect various tax and non-tax initiatives
- Lead and / or support local and global tax projects
- Work in partnership with cross functional business teams for development and implementation of key strategic business changes, routes to market and reorganizations
- Work in cross-border teams to implement and improve tax controls, policies, and processes
- Research / monitor tax legislation changes and assess the implications to the Group
- Manage external tax consultants
- Any other works assigned by line manager
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / relevant fieldMin 8 years of relevant tax experienceHaving the following experiences are a plus :Transfer pricing, GST / VAT, withholding tax, tax planning, customs duties etc.Tax governance, frameworks and tax controlsStrong work ethics, professionalism, and integrityAdaptable, proactive, independent, resilient, and willing to learnGreat team player with excellent communication and collaboration skillsAble to establish relationships with diverse stakeholders across different culturesStrong analytical and lateral thinking skillsMotivated by challenges and sense of adding value for othersImmediate availability is preferred; however, all qualified candidates will be considered.About SHEIN
