Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- Monitor water level in the reservoir / canal and to carry out gate operation
- Monitor the conductivity of the water in the low-level sluice valve and carry out operation of the low-level sluice valve to release water
- Operate stop logs at the tidal gates for the isolation of gates.
- Operate valves / pumps for the transfer of raw water between reservoirs
- Patrol reservoir, catchment area, pumping stations, dams, intake towers, infrastructures, and pipelines etc
- Collect water samples from the reservoir as and when directed by the Board;
- Assist to monitor other contractors’ work, e.g. reservoir maintenance, aquatic plants removal, flotsam removal, etc
- Attend to emergency situation and assist in activities / events organised at the reservoir
Requirements :
Physically and medically fit for workPossess at least a NITEC certificate in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or other technical NITEC certificate or certificationsBe able to work shiftMust be competent in computer, e.g. use of Microsoft OfficeLocation : PunggolWorking hours : 44hrs per week, 12hrs shift pattern - 4days working and 4days off.
