Job Responsibilities
As the AML Team Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for :
- Managing a team responsible for Anti-Money Laundering / Countering Financing of Terrorism (“AML / CFT”) activities, providing hands-on leadership to uphold compliance, overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality output by conducting investigations, risk assessments and reporting.
- Perform and oversee, the conduct of AML / CFT Compliance Reviews, including but not limited to Suspicious Activity Monitoring (“SAM”) Alerts, Watchlist Alerts, AML monitoring parameters, escalations, AML / CFT processes, etc.
- Provide compliance advisory on AML / CFT matters, including but not limited to account opening Client Due Diligence (“CDD”) requirements, name-screening, client risk rating classifications, suspicious activities / transactions, suspicious transaction reporting (“STR”) lodgements, AML / CFT violations, etc.
- Assist to prepare and present relevant AML / CFT updates during periodic Management Meetings and forums; prepare and ensure timely submission of management reports to Senior Management, Board of Directors and Head Office as necessary.
- Monitor AML / CFT regulatory changes and proactively monitor industry developments and propose strategies and enhancements to improve internal AML / CFT processes, including the dissemination of relevant updates and engagement with stakeholders, including Front Office.
- Assist with and to coordinate requests arising from requests / queries from regulatory agencies, internal and external auditors, etc, as assigned.
- Oversee the maintenance / update of AML / CFT policies and procedures to ensure that it remains updated and reflective of prevailing regulatory requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate and conduct training to relevant stakeholders (including Front Office) in relation to AML / CFT. Coordinate and assist to review related training programs to ensure all employees are aware of compliance responsibilities and company policies.
- Provide day-to-day operational guidance to the AML team in the performance of operational matters.
Job Requirements
