Job Description

We are seeking a committed and proactive Application Support Engineer with a background in Java / J2EE technologies. This role is ideal for individuals who have prior experience in application support or Java development and are eager to grow in a dynamic support environment. You will play a key role in supporting mission-critical applications, ensuring stability, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide level 1 and 2 application support for Java / J2EE-based applications in production and UAT environments.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability.
• Monitor and maintain batch jobs, web applications, and middleware components such as JBOSS, MariaDB, and Shell scripts.
• Perform root cause analysis of recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Execute Unix commands and SQL queries to support application data and log analysis.
• Coordinate with developers, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Manage job scheduling and support system integrations involving MQ setup and Connect : Direct (C : D) where applicable.
• Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
• Ensure adherence to defined SLAs with a strong focus on quality and ownership.
