Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Must be able to work on your own.
• Must be a team player and gets along well with other co-workers.
• Must be able to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of building and construction.
• Cutting tiles size and shape with hand-cutters or bench-mounted tools.
• Working with various building materials.
• Must understand drawing and follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
• Laying of floor screed and intricate mosaic tile
• Applying new waterproofing membrane
• laying of floor tiles and wall tiles
• Working out how many tiles and how much adhesive you’ll need for a particular area
• Preparing surfaces by levelling off with plaster, sand or cement
• Fixing the tiles and applying grout before finishing off
• Being thorough, with good attention to detail
• Have thinking and reasoning skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
