Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the diesel workshop, managing engine repair and overhaul projects for commercial and naval vessels.
- Ensure overhaul processes are executed productively and in compliance with customer specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Supervise and guide engineers and technicians, ensuring adherence to engine protocols, Critical Process Inspections (CPI), task sheets, and workshop procedures.
- Monitor departmental projects to achieve delivery targets while maintaining high levels of quality assurance.
- Enforce yard safety regulations and promote a culture of safety through active leadership and role modeling.
Requirements :
Diploma or Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.5 -7 years’ experience in shipyards or OEMs specializing in diesel engines.Strong knowledge of engine overhauling, applied mechanics, and related systems.Hands-on troubleshooting skills in pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, and basic electrical systems.Familiarity with engine warranty, claims, and job acceptance processes.Proven ability to manage multiple engine repair / overhaul projects and lead teams in both workshop and onboard environments.Interested candidates who wish to apply for the advertised position, please click on the APPLY button below to send in your resume.
