Roles & Responsibilities

• Able to read drawings
• Able to follow specific tiling patterns
• Able to lift heavy materials and equipment
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Able to use tile cutters and other tools of the trade
• Strong manual skills
• Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
• Identify and rectify wall and floor tiling defects
• Inspecting surfaces to be tiled
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
• Willing to work overtime
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions (heat, cold, outdoors)
• Willing to work a midnight shift
