Position Overview
The Technician is responsible for assisting Duty Engineers in carrying out the shift duty smoothly. Repairing, maintaining and ensuring that all electrical and mechanical facilities including lighting throughout the hotel are operating satisfactorily.

Engineering Operations
- Follow resourcing plans to perform hotel maintenance works
- Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures
- Carry out inspection on public areas, mechanical and electrical rooms on a regular basis in case of problems arising unexpectedly and rectify within means
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
- Service and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment such as motors, plumbing, drainage, light fittings, wiring, vacuum machines, all laundry, kitchen equipment, cables and all electrical machines within hotel premises
- Clear all obstructions in sewer, waste pipe, soil channels and grease interceptor system. Repair defective flushing system, toilet bowls, urinals, basins, vent pipes and air-conditioning waste pipes. To service and clean all grease traps
- Service and repair low-tension switchgears under the supervision of the engineers
- Carry out scheduled air-handling unit maintenance
- Carry out masonry works and painting for all walls, beams pillars and posts. Cement floor traps, floor tiles, vinyl tiles, long bath grouting and pipe duct. To install and repair wash basins, long bath, toilet bowl, urinals and cisterns (when necessary)
- Hang curtains, banners for all functions in public areas, guestrooms, and offices within and outside hotel premises
- Take readings for all electrical systems, water and air-conditioning systems
- Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work
- Report equipment faults or water quality issues for necessary action
- Operate equipment and systems in adherence to operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Follow emergency response plans and relevant safety procedures
- Respond to emergencies as an emergency response team member
