Procurement Officer (Grocery)

Job Responsibilities

/ Requirements

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in merchandising / buying and category management
• Experience from Supermarkets/Specialist grocery retailers or suppliers is a plus, especially with regards to management of confectionery, noodles, and biscuits etc
• Superb business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management (both internal and external)
• Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills

Skills / Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent in Supply Chain/Logistics/Food Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in Retail or FMCG
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills & good negotiation skills are trademark of a competent buyer
• Great communication skills (both oral and written) are a must
• Good administrative, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Mature, able to handle multi-tasking and work pressure
