Due to expansion, our client, a US listed multinational corporation and leader in its field, is seeking suitable candidates to join as IT Service Engineer (internal job title for Deskside Services Engineer). Job Summary
The Deskside Services Engineer provides on-site technical support for end-user computing environments across the company’s Singapore locations. This role ensures timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues, and contributes to the overall stability and efficiency of IT operations. Key Responsibilities
Set up and run meetings and events, including technical support for AV equipment and coordination with stakeholders. Provide Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware / software issues using remote tools or in‑person support. Perform installations, upgrades, and configuration of IT equipment. Execute tasks defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities. Maintain compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and internal IT policies. Document incidents and resolutions in the ITSM system. Support procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT assets. Maintain accurate records of hardware / software inventory. Coordinate with Service Desk, Application Support, and Infrastructure teams. Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support tiers. Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders. Participate in service reviews and performance evaluations. Recommend improvements to support processes and tools. Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 3 years of deskside or field support experience. Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote support tools. Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow). Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft MCP are advantageous. Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of network fundamentals and mobile device support.
