Roles & Responsibilities
The IT Manager will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the company Admin and HR Department and its operations. He / She will advise program developments for all users in the construction company.
IT Manager will establish hardware maintenance programs and is able to apply procedures in case of systems interruptions; ensure security of data storage, data protection and be able to conduct training of user equipment where required.
IT Manager will ensure all systems are properly set-up with user rights according to the policies or according internal authorities granted for access to business applications and software usage. To create user rights for new employees and to timely delete users’ access rights for staff who resigned.
Job Scope
Carry out the full scope of MIS Management in the construction company which including, but not limited to the following areas :
- Prepare and present IT monthly report to management detailing data usage, network security, upgrade proposals, hardware and software status.
- On standby support and be recalled to company to attend to IT problems on exigency situations 24 / 7;
- Liaise with Government agencies including but not limited to LTA, HDB, NParks, MOE, MHA and DSTA for IT system reporting, integration, statistics upload and project requirements.
- Maintain corporate data backup and restoration system;
- Design and set up Corporate Website;
- Manage email accounts for both HQ and Project site management teams, ensure smooth running and undertake troubleshooting with service providers as necessary;
- Monitor server disk usage, firewall and intrusion records;
- Coordinate with IT support vendors to rectify any problems, faults, ambiguity and fallacies that may arise from any of the IT systems;
- Monitor and ensure that no illegal access by illegitimate users, illegal copy of files and software by employees;
- Installation and implementation of any new software for servers and users;
- Involve in IT Projects implementation and all IT audits related to the company;
- Handle users’ complaints on Internet Access;
- Coach users of the systematic use of all applications and systems;
- Conduct regular check on PC viruses and update of definition files;
- Setting-up project site IT system whenever requested by HOD, Superior.
