Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the procurement team to ensure high performance and a compliance-oriented culture.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress against KPIs.
- Guide negotiation strategies, vendor management, and procurement best practices.
- Process Control & Compliance
- Ensure procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls are adhered to.
- Maintain compliance with company governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the project manager, engineering, logistics, finance, and operations teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and suppliers.
- Serve as the key escalation point for procurement-related issues across departments.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track supplier and team performance through regular reviews and reports.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Risk Management
- Assess procurement-related risks (supplier reliability, cost escalation, delays) and develop mitigation to ensure business continuity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, systems and vendor engagement models.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Preparing procurement reports, analysing the financial implications of strategies, and communicating results to stakeholders.
Procurement Strategy
Strategic SourcingDevelop, implement, and oversee sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.Establish and maintain a competitive supplier base.Identify opportunities for cost saving, process efficiency, quality, timely delivery, and supplier consolidation.Supplier Relationship ManagementEstablish, maintain, and strengthen long-term partnerships with key suppliers and subcontractors for reliability and innovation.Lead vendor selection, evaluation, and qualification processes to ensure quality, compliance, and reliability.Negotiate favourable contracts, including pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.Resolve vendor performance issues and implement corrective action plans when necessary.Cost OptimizationAnalyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.Implement value engineering and total cost of ownership (TCO) approaches.Market IntelligenceMonitor, stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and supplier markets to support strategic decisions.Procurement Operation, Sustainability & ComplianceOversee and manage the end-to-end procurement cycle (RFQ, evaluation, negotiation, PO issuance, and contract management).Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.Approve and review high-value purchase requisitions, supplier contracts, and strategic sourcing decisions.Driver transparency and accountability in procurement documentation and audit trails.Incorporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria into procurement strategies.Ensure ethical sourcing and supplier compliance with labour and safety standards.Forecasting & PlanningAlign procurement plans with business forecasts and project pipelines.Develop budgetary cost frameworks to support financial planning.Requirement : -
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 5 to 7 years in a Procurement Manager role, preferably in the construction, civil engineering or mechanical sector.The ability to negotiate effectively with vendors is crucial for securing goods and service deals.The capacity to develop long-term procurement strategies and align them with organizational goals.Strong communication skills are needed to build relationships with suppliers and communicate with internal teams and stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment and manage a diverse workforce.Proficiency with a strong command of technical and functional skills.High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Notes :

Working days : 5.5 Days weekly
Working Hours : 8.30am to 5.30pm
