Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Architectural Coordinator act as the Lead Coordinator of the design team and is responsible for leading a team of architectural BIM designers.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows :
- Liaise closely with the Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure buildable shop drawings are issued timely to the project site team.
- Ensure drawings produced by the BIM team and sub-contractors are accurate and timely in alignment with the Project Master Program.
- Identify shop drawings discrepancies, buildability, and impact on different disciplines.
- Relate design intent from architect / design consultant to buildable construction shop drawing.
- Ensure design intent on critical dimensions are highlighted; details are workable and coordinated with other trades.
- Liaise with architect, design consultant, and sub-contractors on design intent and technical issues.
- Coordinate between architectural team and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction drawings.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
Skills & Requirements
Education : Minimum Degree in Architecture or relevant fieldsExperience : Minimum 6 years’ experience in relevant industry, preferably to have been full time assigned on a project.Technical : Coordinate and identify areas of concern with design intentUnderstanding of structural / M&E drawingsAble to communicate with consultants in clear hand sketches drawingAwareness of requirements of relevant authorities (ie.BCA, SCDF, LTA)Awareness of contractual obligations / rightsTell employers what skills you have
