Arborist / Horticulturist

Roles & Responsibilities

Location: Central
Work Hours: 5 day work week (4 weekday and 1 weekend), 8.30am - 5.30pm

Our client is a reputable and well-established company in the recreation industry. They take pride in providing a well maintained environment for their users. They are looking for a skilled Arborist / Horticulturist to join their landscape team in caring for the health and beauty of the plants and green spaces.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct arboriculture visual tree assessments and coordinate necessary works with contractors.
• Lead, brief, and supervise landscape crews on daily operations and improvement projects.
• Design and implement planting plans, including preparing bills of quantities.
• Plan and apply plant treatments to maintain healthy landscapes.
• Oversee budgets, expenses, and cost control for landscape operations.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate submissions, and participate in tender interviews.
• Conduct daily inspections of landscape maintenance and improvement works.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with management on long-term landscape improvement strategies.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned to support the overall grounds excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or a related discipline.
• ISA Certified Arborist qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of strong technical experience in horticulture, with hands-on expertise.
• Proven leadership in managing landscape crews and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of arboriculture practices, plant health care, and landscape planning.
• Ability to manage budgets, projects, and multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
