Job Summary

Join a well-established retail organisation as a Merchandising Executive to drive sales and profitability by strategically sourcing products, planning assortments, optimising inventory, and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage product categories based on market trends and customer demand to ensure relevant and competitive offerings
• Plan product assortment, category mix, and range strategies to maximise sales revenue and profit margins
• Analyse pricing data and generate insights to support effective supplier negotiation strategies
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage promotions, deliveries, and stock availability, ensuring smooth supply chain operations
• Monitor inventory levels and manage slow-moving stock to improve sell-through rates and reduce excess inventory
• Ensure timely replenishment of best-selling items to maintain optimal stock levels and meet customer demand
• Prepare detailed sales and inventory reports to inform business decision-making and merchandising strategies
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the retail landscape
• Support store operations by assisting with promotions, store openings, renovations, and event coordination to enhance customer experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications to analyse data and prepare reports
• Knowledge of SAP systems to facilitate merchandising and inventory management processes
• Detail-oriented and organised approach to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
