Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description & Requirements:

• Advise Occupier, Project Manager, Engineer or any other persons in charge of site on the measures to be taken in the interest of safety and health of the persons employed therein.
• Monitors the overall safety performance of the project, trend analysis, identifying unsafe conditions and procedures and recommending corrective actions.
• Inspect the site to determine whether there is any hazard or any description of manual labour used in the site which is of such a nature that is liable to cause risk or bodily injury to any person working or employed in the site.
• Responsible in establishing and maintaining all safety and health record-keeping system and liaise with Statutory Bodies with regards to any safety and health matters.
• Review method statements and risk assessment submitted by various subcontractors/vendor, offering improvements or any safety requirement that need to be incorporated and monitors compliance with the method statement while the work is being performed.
• Schedule and carry out regular site safety inspection on subcontractors/ vendor (employees) and monitor their overall compliance and performance in the project and shall review with Project Manager on a regular basis on the subcontractors/ vendor (employees) safety performance and safety activity status.
• Conduct daily toolbox meeting.
• Maintain proper OHSAS documentation at all.
