Roles & Responsibilities

Position : Operations Manager (Waste Management / Environmental Services)

Location : Few bus stops from Jurong East MRT ( company bus provided)

Working hours : 5.5 days, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 12pm

Salary (Depend on experience) : Up to $12,000 + Petrol fleet card ($500), mobile + 14 days annual leave + Variable Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the waste management facility
• Implement efficient waste collection, transport, processing, and disposal processes
• Develop and execute operational strategies, policies, and improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and service enhancement
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance and operational outcomes
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and operational updates
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards
• Promote sustainability practices including waste reduction and recycling initiatives
• Address customer enquiries and maintain service quality standards
• Lead safety initiatives and enforce workplace safety protocols
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations with corrective actions
• Lead, mentor, and manage teams to ensure effective collaboration and performance
• Oversee coordination across departments including operations, customer service, and support functions
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in waste management, including managerial responsibilities
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, waste handling, and recycling practices
• Experience in budgeting, financial management, and operational planning
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make informed decisions
• Relevant certifications in waste management or related fields are an advantage
• Willingness to travel to operational sites as required; candidates should be able to commute efficiently
