Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in data engineering, analytics, and backend development. The ideal candidate will work on building scalable data solutions, developing RESTful APIs, and supporting data-driven applications in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
- Build and integrate data platforms and services using API frameworks
- Apply modern software design principles and contribute to technical architecture
- Modify and enhance existing applications, including preparing test data and functional specifications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Develop reusable APIs aligned with architecture guidelines
- Write clean, maintainable, and object-oriented code
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or backend development
- Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis
- Proficiency in Python or Scala
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hive, Spark, Kafka
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and big data architectures
- Experience working with cloud platforms and cloud-based data solutions
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to API frameworks and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with modern data engineering tools and pipelines
- Knowledge of data acquisition, processing, and management best practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
