Position: Freelance English Language & Communication Trainer (Adult Learning)

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Contract / Freelance / Part-Time (adjust as needed)

About the Role

An Adult training company is looking for a highly experienced and qualified English Language &Communication Trainer to deliver professional training programmes to adult learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in linguistics, cross-cultural communication, and diplomacy-related skillsets, with a proven track record of conducting adult learning courses.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver training courses to adult learners in the following areas:

• Interpretation and Translation
• Notetaking and Active Listening Skills
• Negotiation Skills
• Speechwriting
• Public Presentation
• Cross-Cultural Communication
• Diplomacy Skills
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessments tailored to adult learners
• Evaluate participants' progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate training records and course documentation

Qualifications:

• Holds a recognised English teaching qualification such as:
• Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), or
• Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

And/or holds a certification or degree in any of the following disciplines:

• English Language
• Translation and Interpretation Studies
• International Relations
• Communication Studies
• Applied Linguistics
• Or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum 8 courses conducted for adult learners since 2022, with a focus on one or more of the skillsets listed above
• Demonstrated experience training professionals or corporate clients is an advantage

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Ability to engage and motivate adult learners
• Culturally sensitive with strong cross-cultural awareness
• Organised, self-driven, and professional in conduct
