Job Description:
You will be part of a specialised private early intervention centre supporting children aged 2 to 7 years old with developmental, learning, behavioural, and socio-emotional needs. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will help design and deliver structured learning experiences that support each child’s developmental journey. Curriculum frameworks and lesson guidance will be provided, together with ongoing in-house training and professional development opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake support and assist with initial child assessments and screenings.
- Design and implement individualised intervention plans based on each child’s needs.
- Develop IEPs and adapt learning content through differentiated teaching strategies.
- Monitor, assess, and document children’s developmental progress and learning outcomes.
- Deliver structured social, emotional, and behavioural support within the classroom setting.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised, and engaging learning environment.
- Apply positive behaviour support strategies to guide classroom behaviour.
- Communicate regularly with parents on children’s progress through updates and reports.
- Maintain accurate case notes, records, and documentation after sessions.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other allied health professionals during team discussions and planning.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) or equivalent qualification.
- Degree in Psychology or related fields may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children aged 18 months to 6 years with developmental delays or special needs.
- Prior experience in early intervention or special needs settings will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English and good organisational ability.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of AEPS will be a bonus.
