Senior Legal Counsel | Global Alternative Asset Manager | Singapore

A leading global alternative asset manager is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Singapore legal team. This is a high-profile in-house role working directly on marquee deals across private equity opportunities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Role

You will lead and manage complex cross-border corporate transactions for the firm's funds and portfolio companies including M&A, dispositions, joint ventures, and minority equity investments. Day-to-day responsibilities span the full transaction lifecycle: negotiating and reviewing documentation, advising on structuring and regulatory matters (antitrust, FDI, securities law), coordinating external counsel, managing legal due diligence, and contributing to investment committee processes.

Beyond transactional work, you will partner with portfolio companies on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance and stay across regulatory developments and market practice across the region.

The Candidate

• 5–10 years PQE at a top-tier international law firm, with a strong private equity/corporate M&A focus
• Demonstrated track record on complex, cross-border transactions
• Solid grasp of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting PE and portfolio companies in APAC
• US, UK, Singapore, or equivalent common law qualification
• Strong judgement, sharp communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Additional Asian languages a plus
