Job description

Lead the delivery of the firm’s rankings and legal directory submissions, awards/league table-related inputs, and the deals database to support credentials and submissions, while supervising a junior team to ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness.


Key responsibilities


1) Rankings, legal directories, awards & league tables (end-to-end ownership)

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of directory submissions and rankings materials for key publications (e.g., Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500 and related rankings/awards/league tables as applicable).
  • Plan submission timelines, manage inputs and ensure high-quality narratives/work highlights are drafted, edited and submitted in accordance with each directory’s requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate matter lists and client referees, ensuring completeness, consistency and accurate positioning across practices and jurisdictions.
  • Track outcomes (rankings, shortlists, wins) and support internal reporting and reuse of content (e.g., for subsequent submissions/credentials).


2) Deals database & credentials support

  • Manage matter updates and ensuring deal/case information is current and usable for submissions and credentials.
  • Drive adherence to matter capture and update processes (e.g., ensuring relevant matters are logged, updated and ready for submission cycles).
  • Maintain matter data quality (completeness, clarity, consistency) to support directory submissions and marketing uses.


3) People Management (junior team)

  • Manage, coach and allocate work to junior team members supporting rankings and the deals database
  • Set clear standards and review checkpoints to reduce errors and ensure on-time delivery across concurrent submission cycles.


Skills / Experience / Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a communications team within a corporate environment preferred.
  • Law firm experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong oral communications skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
  • High level of logistical and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
