Trainee Teacher (Infant Care/Early Years)

Roles & Responsibilities

Full time attachment to one of our childcare centres under mentorship with a mentor teacher, the trainee teacher will be coached through the apprentice program and will be able to assume the role as an Early Years/Infant Care Teacher upon completion of the course.

Course Requirements

Advanced Certificate in Early Years:

• Local qualification - Completed Secondary 4 education and at least an average of SOA 5 in the Workplace Literacy series (WPL); either SOA 5 for WPL Writing or a GCE O-level credit in the English Language as First Language
• Foreign Qualification - Completed 10 years of formal education and at least an average SOA 5 in the WPL series, either SOA 5 for WPL (Writing).

Higher Certificate in Infant Care

• Local qualification - Completed Secondary 2 education and at least an average of SOA 4 in the Workplace Literacy series (WPL);
• Foreign Qualification - Completed 10 years of formal education and at least an average SOA 4 in the WPL series,

Job responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with the class level, policies and framework
• Classroom management and maintaining a pleasant and conducive learning environment
• Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child
• Set up and create a stimulating and engaging pleasant learning environment that promotes self-directed learning
• Responsible for all aspects of classroom management and carrying out routine care duties to ensure the safety and hygiene of the children
• Work closely with other teaching staff in the room in carrying out the duties
• Build and maintain close partnerships with colleagues and parents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work well independently as well as within a team

全职实习在我们的育儿中心，在导师教师的指导下，实习教师将通过学徒计划接受中文相关课程的培训，并在完成以下课程后能够担任幼儿教师或婴幼儿教师的职位：

课程要求：
幼儿教育高级证书（Advanced Certificate in Early Years）

本地学历要求：

• 完成中四教育
• 在工作场所英语能力测试（WPL）系列中平均达到SOA 5等级；
• 同时需具备WPL写作SOA 5等级，或具备GCE O水准英语（第一语言）合格成绩。

外国学历要求：

• 完成10年正规教育
• 在工作场所英语能力测试（WPL）系列中平均达到SOA 5等级，并具备WPL写作SOA 5等级。

婴儿培育高级证书课程（Higher Certificate in Infant Care）

本地学历要求：

• 完成中二教育
• 在工作场所英语能力测试（WPL）系列中平均达到SOA 4等级。

外国学历要求：

• 完成10年正规教育
• 在工作场所英语能力测试（WPL）系列中平均达到SOA 4等级。

职位职责

· 根据中心的政策和框架，规划、监督并实施班级课程。

· 每学期完成儿童的进展报告，并为每个孩子准备发展档案。

· 创建并布置一个富有启发性和吸引力的学习环境，促进自主学习。

· 负责班级管理的各个方面，并履行日常护理职责，以确保儿童的安全与卫生。

· 与班级的其他教学人员密切合作，履行各项职责。

· 与家长建立并维持紧密的合作伙伴关系。

· 优秀的沟通和人际交往技巧。

· 能够独立工作，也能与团队合作。
