Roles & Responsibilities

• To lead assigned process improvement projects, using the prescribed Six Sigma methodology and facilitating the respective teams in the application Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools to drive quality improvement and cost reduction across the respective processes.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma philosophy, theory, applications, tools and tactics.
• Translate Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles in to practical application across the assigned projects, gaining and maintaining commitment from team members through continual training, education, and coaching.
• Lead assigned teams throughout the problem-solving efforts, identifying barriers to the effective implementation of the Six Sigma process and taking the necessary action to resolve or escalate issues / problems.
• Report as appropriate on project status through the established project tracking system and management / project reviews.
• Maintain an awareness of, and fully understand, the impact to the customer of Six Sigma process improvement projects, as well as customer requirements regarding process change, ensuring effective communication is maintained to eliminate any potential negative impact.
• Provide support, assistance and mentoring to Six Sigma Green Belts in their process improvement projects, sharing expertise to ensure successful project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with Six Sigma and Company approved policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
