Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Convenience Store Team Member is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store by providing good customer service, performing cashiering duties, replenishing stocks, and maintaining cleanliness and operational standards within the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional customer service to customers
• Operate cashiering and POS systems accurately, including handling cash and cashless transactions
• Assist customers with enquiries, product location, and basic issue resolution
• Replenish stocks and ensure products are properly displayed and available for sale
• Perform stock rotation and monitor expiry dates to maintain freshness standards
• Ensure shelves, displays, and promotional areas are properly maintained
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the store premises
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries where required
• Support opening and closing store operations as assigned
• Comply with workplace safety, hygiene, and operational SOPs
• Support the team in achieving operational and customer service standards
• Carry out any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisors or management

Job Requirements

• Customer-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers in a retail environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn
• Comfortable with cashiering and basic retail operational duties
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Physically fit and comfortable with prolonged standing and light manual handling duties
• Prior retail, supermarket, convenience store, or F&B experience will be an added advantage

Working Conditions

• 6-day work week based on rotating shift schedule across weekends and public holidays
