Now Hiring: Legal, Compliance and Governance Officer

Our client is an established and growing fund management firm based in Singapore. In line with their expansion, they are looking to bring on a Legal, Compliance and Governance Officer to support and strengthen the firm's legal, compliance and governance function.

Key Responsibilities

A. Legal

• Manage contract lifecycle including tracking, filing, renewal and maintenance of legal documentation
• Coordinate with external counsel on referred matters including instructions, timelines and cost
• Review and mark up contracts, NDAs, service agreements and other legal documentation
• Identify key legal and commercial issues and escalate where appropriate
• Assist with legal research on applicable laws and regulatory matters

B. Compliance

• Support and maintain the compliance framework in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and manuals
• Conduct compliance monitoring and testing and escalate issues where appropriate
• Support the AML/CFT framework including policies, procedures and ongoing monitoring obligations

C. Company Secretarial and Governance

• Prepare board and committee meeting materials, agendas and minutes, and coordinate scheduling and logistics of board and committee meetings

Key Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance or governance within a regulated financial services firm
• A law degree or Master of Law from a recognised institution is preferred; candidates with a degree in a related field and equivalent experience will be considered
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a broad remit across legal, compliance and governance functions
• Comfortable engaging with AI tools critically and constructively as part of day-to-day work
