Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

Lead and manage R&D projects to deliver innovative beauty and wellness products. Develop strategies, mentor teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive product development and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of R&D projects to meet deadlines, scope, and budget targets
• Develop and implement R&D strategies that drive product innovation and support business growth
• Mentor and manage the R&D team to achieve project goals and foster continuous professional development
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective actions to maintain project health
• Research emerging technologies and industry trends to identify new product development opportunities
• Oversee development, testing, validation, and commercialization of new products and formulations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies across all R&D activities
• Prepare and review technical documentation, regulatory submissions, research reports, and project records accurately
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, marketing, and business development teams to support successful product launches
• Evaluate and implement new research methodologies, technologies, and processes to enhance efficiency and product performance
• Maintain accurate records of research activities, experimental results, and intellectual property documentation

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of R&D experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or wellness industries
• Knowledge of R&D processes, product development, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
• Strong leadership, project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel for business meetings and industry events as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with the China market, including consumer trends and regulatory requirements
