Professional Architecture Degree and Singapore Landed Residential Experience Required
M.INTERIOR is looking for an architecture-trained design professional with direct experience delivering Singapore landed residential projects. You will lead the design development and technical delivery of landed homes across renovation, A&A, reconstruction and rebuild projects.
In our integrated design-and-build model, design responsibility continues through costing, procurement, construction and handover. You will work directly with our internal teams to ensure that every design is buildable, commercially controlled, properly coordinated and executed according to the approved design intent.

How to succeed in this role
The Role & Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership and Development
- Lead the design and technical development of Singapore landed residential projects from initial assessment through construction and handover.
- Guide the team in producing coherent, buildable and commercially responsible design solutions.
- Ensure that spatial, interior, material and technical requirements remain aligned with the approved scope, budget and design intent.
- Review design outputs and facilitate timely decisions required to keep projects progressing.
2. Team and Schedule Management
- Develop and manage design schedules, deliverables, deadlines, dependencies and approvals.
- Plan and coordinate the workload of internal designers, external resources and consultants.
- Monitor progress, review outputs and ensure that the required deliverables are completed to the correct standard and issued on time.
- Identify resource constraints, delayed decisions and schedule risks early, taking corrective action or escalating where necessary.
The position is accountable for both individual work and the collective delivery of the design team.
3. Technical, Commercial and Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate design and technical information with the appointed Architect/QP, consultants, QS & Commercial, Project Delivery and Construction teams.
- Ensure that tender and construction documentation is complete, coordinated and suitable for pricing, procurement and execution.
- Resolve design conflicts and consider cost, buildability, availability and programme implications when making decisions.
- Maintain proper control over drawings, revisions, approvals and issued information.
4. Construction and Quality Control
- Retain design oversight throughout construction and provide timely direction on RFIs, shop drawings, materials and site matters.
- Work with Project Delivery and Construction teams to resolve implementation issues while protecting the approved design intent.
- Ensure that changes are properly assessed, approved and documented.
- Support completion, handover, defects closure and continuous improvement of design and delivery systems.
5. Client and Stakeholder Management
- Present design proposals and technical matters clearly to clients.
- Manage the design-related information, decisions and approvals required from relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment across the client, design, commercial, consultant and construction teams.
- Escalate unresolved issues before they affect cost, quality or programme.
What you’ll need to succeed
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong ability to develop and coordinate designs from schematic design to construction and handover.
- Demonstrated ability to manage design schedules, team workloads, dependencies and concurrent project deadlines.
- Strong technical understanding of construction detailing, buildability, tender documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience coordinating with Architects/QPs, consultants, contractors and internal commercial, delivery and construction teams.
- Ability to balance design quality with budget, procurement, programme and site requirements.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with competency in SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD or equivalent design software.
- Strong client communication, presentation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience.
- Direct involvement in Singapore landed residential projects, including experience beyond concept design and into design development, tender or construction.
- Portfolio demonstrating your personal contribution to Singapore landed residential projects, including technical documentation and completed work.
- Experience in landed residential A&A, reconstruction, rebuild or an integrated design-and-build environment is preferred.
