Finance Operations Executive - 6 Months Contract - up to SGD6.5k

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Finance Operations Executive to support financial closing, distribution processes, and system change management within a dynamic insurance environment. This role will focus on ensuring accurate reporting, monitoring system operations, managing commission and distribution reconciliations, and serving as the finance subject matter expert for post‑deployment system changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly financial book closing in line with group reporting requirements and local regulatory timelines, focusing on distribution, health, and fixed asset processes.
• Oversee daily batch runs from the Distribution Management System (DMS) and promptly address any exceptions or remediation actions.
• Provide support to the Distribution team by preparing monthly schedules and aging reports.
• Partner with the product development team and manage IT change requests as the finance subject matter expert (SME).
• Work closely with Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM) to ensure accurate booking aligned with production periods and insurance fund requirements.
• Assist in managing end-user computing (EUC) controls within Finance Operations.
• Support the distribution team with substantiation and reconciliation of commission and distribution-related accounts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in finance operations, ideally within the life insurance sector.
• Background in handling insurance commission and distribution cost bookings will be considered a strong advantage.
• Ability to work with general ledger and policy administration systems; familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, PowerBuilder, and AI solutions will be an advantage.
