Assistant Relationship Manager – Trade Finance (Corporate Banking)

About the Role:

We are hiring on behalf of a Chinese bank to expand its Corporate Banking team. This role supports Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of corporate clients, focusing on deposit growth, trade finance transactions, and day-to-day client servicing. It’s an excellent opportunity for candidates with banking experience looking to deepen their exposure to trade products and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire new and manage existing portfolio of high deposits customers, cross selling of cash management solution and treasury services etc.
• Handle new account opening, account maintenance, periodic review, KYC, CDD, AML and client risk questionnaires. Ensure completeness and accuracy of document as per internal and Head Office requirements.
• Be able to work closely with RM and relevant stakeholders within the bank to ensure appropriate and timely response to customers’ inquiries and trade transactions.
• Assist RM in updating of daily tracker and follow up for status and pending items.
• Handle ad-hoc project as assigned.

Requirements:

• Preferably Degree in Banking & Finance or its equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge on corporate banking/trade product will be ideal
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the banking or commodity industry
• Good communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written Chinese to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients and Head Office colleagues.
