Senior Telecom Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Design telecommunications systems for marine and oil & gas projects.
• Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and bid evaluations.
• Create and maintain equipment lists, cable schedules, and project documentation.
• Review AutoCAD drawings such as layouts, cable diagrams, and termination drawings.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with electrical, instrumentation, vendors, and project teams.
• Attend client meetings, provide technical support, and lead FAT activities.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications engineering within the marine or oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
• Familiar with ATEX and IECEx requirements and hazardous area installations.
• Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Excellent vendor management and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
