Roles & Responsibilities
Important Note for Applicants:
We appreciate your interest in joining our team. Please note that this role requires a deep, pre-existing understanding of the furniture B2B sector. We are strictly seeking candidates with proven experience generating B2B revenue within this specific industry.
The Role
We are not looking for someone to learn the industry from scratch; we need a seasoned hunter who already "gets it." You will be responsible for identifying high-value B2B opportunities, leveraging your existing network, and opening doors with key decision-makers. You will own the entire sales cycle—from strategic prospecting and initial outreach to negotiating contracts and closing complex deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Generation: Proactively prospect and build a robust pipeline of qualified B2B leads within the furniture sector.
- Strategic Pitching: Conduct high-level discovery calls, presentations, and product/service demonstrations tailored to the specific operational needs of prospective clients.
- Deal Execution: Lead contract negotiations, manage objections, and consistently close deals to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Network Utilization: Leverage industry knowledge and existing professional networks to accelerate the sales cycle and secure warm introductions.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and market shifts, feeding this intelligence back to the executive and product teams.
- Relationship Management: Transition closed deals smoothly to the account management team while maintaining executive-level relationships for future expansion or referrals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory: 3+ years of direct B2B business development or outside sales experience explicitly within the furniture space.
- A proven, verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding B2B sales quotas.
- Deep understanding of the industry’s procurement processes, standard contracting timelines, and key decision-makers (e.g., CTOs, Procurement Directors, VP of Operations).
- Exceptional ability to craft compelling value propositions that directly address industry-specific pain points.
- A self-starter mentality with high resilience, urgency, and a structured approach to pipeline management (experience with Salesforce/HubSpot or similar CRMs is required).
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate ROI clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders.
