Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure to be in line with SOP (standard operating procedure) in place.
- Defines customers’ needs and functionalities.
- Assists in the coordination of system related activities and evaluation of the implementation design.
- Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Collaborates and manages various stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverables within the guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Anticipating & troubleshooting systems related issues.
- Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies.
- Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for support where required.
- Provide system documentation and SOPs.
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based or windows environments.
- Experience in Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare, KVM or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
- knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Amazon Linux, etc; Windows Server 2019 will be an advantange
- Experience with monitoring systems
- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks ) is an added advantage
- Experience with automation software is an added advantage
- Experience with networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) is an added advantage
Location: AMK (Travel to site whenever required)
