Marine Claims Executive

Roles & Responsibilities

• Position: Marine Claims Executive

• Location: Raffles Quay (Walking Distance from Telok Ayer MRT Station)

• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:45am - 6pm)

• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,500 Monthly Basic Salary + 1-Month AWS + Performance Bonus + 16 Days Annual Leave + Flexi Benefits

• Duration: Permanent

• Industry: Insurance Broking

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and process marine insurance claims, including Hull & Machinery, Crew and Protection & Indemnity claims.

• Record and monitor claims notifications received from clients.

• Coordinate the appointment of surveyors and other claims specialists where required.

• Liaise with clients, insurers, surveyors, adjusters and other relevant parties throughout the claims process.

• Review supporting bills, documents and claim information before submission to surveyors or underwriters.

• Negotiate with underwriters to support fair and appropriate claims settlement for clients.

• Provide clients with advice and regular updates on claims status and outstanding requirements.

• Facilitate claims settlements between clients and underwriters.

• Collate and maintain complete claims documentation, correspondence and supporting information.

• Prepare claims statistics and loss records.

• Work closely with account-handling teams to provide claims and loss information for insurance placement and client management.

• Coordinate with the administrative team on payment requests and settlement documentation involving clients and underwriters.

Requirements:

• Diploma in any discipline or equivalent qualification.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong accuracy in claims documentation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• At least one to two years of relevant experience in insurance claims, insurance broking or a related insurance role.

• Prior marine insurance experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
