Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, space plans, and layout proposals for residential and commercial projects to meet client needs.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, including 2D plans and 3D visuals, using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other design software.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and aligned with design intent.
• Coordinate design details and shop drawings with contractors, suppliers, and fabricators to support project execution.
• Conduct site measurements and surveys to provide technical support during project implementation.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
• Assist senior designers and project managers in preparing presentation boards, material selections, and mood boards.
• Manage timely and accurate revisions and updates to drawings as project needs evolve.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, or equivalent design software.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant interior design experience in drafting or detailing; fresh graduates with strong portfolios may be considered.
• Strong design aesthetic sense with attention to detailing and technical accuracy.
• Effective communication skills to work independently and collaboratively within teams.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of joinery and carpentry details and materials to enhance design practicality.
