Job Title:

Senior Chinese Language Teacher (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Chinese Language Teacher to join our academic team. Beyond classroom teaching, you will play a key role in curriculum development, quality assurance, and mentoring junior faculty. If you have a proven track record of driving academic excellence, a deep understanding of the Singapore MOE syllabus, and a passion for developing fellow educators, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Pedagogical Delivery & Academic Excellence

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Chinese language lessons to students from N2 to P6 levels.
• Prepare students effectively for school examinations and Higher Chinese assessments.
• Track and evaluate student progress through assessments, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Cultivate students’ confidence, interest, and appreciation for the Chinese language.

Curriculum Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Lead curriculum planning and lesson standardisation across various levels.
• Design and develop high-quality teaching materials, worksheets, assessment papers, and enrichment programmes aligned with the latest MOE syllabus.
• Monitor teaching quality across classes and centres to ensure high and consistent educational standards.

Mentorship & Professional Development

• Mentor, coach, and support junior teachers through regular lesson observations and constructive feedback.
• Design and conduct internal training sessions focusing on classroom management and innovative teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching and administrative staff to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.

Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

• Maintain professional and proactive communication with parents regarding their children's learning milestones and goals.
• Handle parent feedback constructively and recommend effective home-learning strategies.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Chinese Studies, Chinese Language, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching the Chinese language in Singapore. Prior experience in curriculum design or teacher mentoring is highly preferred.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus, examination formats, and assessment criteria.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional command of both spoken and written Chinese, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics effectively.
• Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) and modern digital teaching tools.
• Availability: Ability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays (excluding Public Holidays).
