Supplier Manager – 12 month contract

Our client, a global technology company are hiring for a Supplier Manager on a 12 month contract. This is a newly created, business-critical hire as the organisation looks to strengthen supply resilience and cost control across a highly specialised component category.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage relationships with ASIC foundries, wafer fabs, and packaging/test suppliers to secure continuity of supply and competitive pricing
• Negotiate cost, wafer allocation and lead times across ASIC and semiconductor suppliers
• Track supplier performance against quality, delivery and capacity metrics, driving improvement plans where required
• Manage supply chain risk across the supplier base, including allocation constraints, single-source exposure and capacity shortages
• Partner with engineering and design teams to ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions and technology roadmaps
• Own supplier contracts, SLAs and commercial terms, and support demand forecasting and capacity planning discussions

Requirements:

• Solid experience in supplier/vendor management or procurement within semiconductor, ASIC, or electronics components
• Working knowledge of the ASIC value chain — design, foundry, wafer fab, and packaging/test
• Strong negotiation and commercial track record with foundries or OEM suppliers
• Experience managing supply risk and capacity planning in constrained, allocation-driven markets
• Comfortable operating cross-functionally with engineering, operations and finance stakeholders
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field preferred
