Reclamation Worker

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Reclamation Worker to support our land reclamation project, covering environmental compliance, stakeholder engagement and public communications.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor environmental conditions related to land reclamation works, including water quality, turbidity, sediment control, waste management and pollution prevention.
2. Conduct site inspections and coordinate environmental monitoring with consultants, contractors and project teams.
3. Assist in implementing environmental management plans, mitigation measures and corrective actions.
4. Prepare environmental reports, monitoring records, incident logs and regulatory documentation.
5. Liaise with government/regulatory authorities, clients, consultants, contractors, nearby communities and other stakeholders.
6. Monitor potential impacts on surrounding marine environments, including marine life, coral, seagrass and coastal areas where applicable.
7. Handle public enquiries and feedback and ensure timely follow-up.
8. Prepare project notices, stakeholder updates, briefing materials and correspondence.
9. Support stakeholder meetings, community engagement activities, site visits and environmental incident communications.
10. Promote environmental awareness among site personnel.

Requirements

1. Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Communications, Public Relations or related discipline.
2. Relevant experience in land reclamation, dredging, marine works, civil engineering, construction, environmental monitoring or stakeholder engagement is preferred.
3. Good understanding of environmental management and construction activities.
4. Strong communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills.
5. Able to liaise effectively with authorities, clients, contractors and members of the public.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
7. Candidates with land reclamation, dredging or marine civil engineering project experience will have an advantage.
