Job Summary

Join Viv’s Schoolhouse as an L2 English Preschool Teacher to design and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s holistic development in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with the centre’s curriculum to promote children’s cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development
• Observe, document, and assess children’s learning progress to inform teaching strategies and support individual growth
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Build and sustain positive relationships with children and families through professional communication about children’s development
• Collaborate effectively with fellow educators to contribute to a supportive and cohesive teaching team
• Participate actively in school events, celebrations, excursions, and enrichment programmes to enhance children’s learning experiences
• Maintain accurate classroom documentation and records in compliance with centre policies
• Engage in ongoing professional development to continuously improve teaching practices and educational outcomes

Required competencies and certifications

• ECDA L2 English Language (EL) certification or equivalent qualification recognised by ECDA
• Relevant Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching, or equivalent recognised qualification
• Fulfil ECDA requirements for an L2 English preschool educator
• Proficient command of spoken and written English

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant preschool teaching experience
• Demonstrated passion, patience, and nurturing approach when working with young children
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Responsible, positive attitude with ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: S$3,200–S$3,800 per month, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience
