Perm Staff Nurse (Inpatient, Palliative Care)

Roles & Responsibilities

Location: Marymount

Working Hours: 3 Shift including weekends and Public Holidays, any 5 days

Salary: Up to $6000

Our client is a healthcare organisation providing specialised palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families. They are looking for a compassionate and committed Staff Nurse to join their nursing team.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide holistic nursing care to patients with life-limiting and advanced illnesses
• Assess patients’ conditions and monitor changes in their clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Manage symptoms and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Support patients with pain and symptom management, personal care and activities of daily living
• Work closely with doctors, allied health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Communicate with patients and their families regarding care needs and provide appropriate support
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records
• Participate in care planning and contribute to continuity of care
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety and nursing standards
• Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and their families where appropriate
• Participate in other nursing-related duties and quality improvement activities as required

Requirement:

• Min Diploma / Degree in Nursing

• Valid SNB and BCLS

• No experience required as training provided
