IT Business Analyst (Wealth Management/Banking)

Client Introduction

Our client is an established, Asia-focused institutional brokerage and investment group, part of one of the region's larger financial services franchises. Their Singapore technology team supports regional business initiatives, working closely with the Wealth Management business to improve the platforms and processes behind its operations.

They are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst (Wealth Management/Banking) to sit within Technology and partner with business users, operations and regional IT stakeholders. Experience in Wealth Management is highly relevant to the role, while strong candidates from broader banking backgrounds will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with business and operations stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and system requirements.
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements, including Business Requirement Documents and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs clearly for technology teams and work with them throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Analyse existing processes to identify gaps, downstream impacts and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate UAT, defect resolution and business sign-off ahead of production release.
• Support project delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives, including timelines, dependencies and stakeholder coordination.
• Work closely with developers and application teams to clarify requirements, investigate issues and ensure solutions meet the intended business need.
• Support implementation, production rollout and post-go-live follow-up where required.

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management or technology delivery within banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on Business Analyst experience across requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation and UAT.
• Experience preparing BRDs and functional requirements and communicating effectively between business and technology teams.
• Good understanding of banking operations and how system changes impact business processes and downstream teams.
• Wealth Management, Private Banking, securities, brokerage or investment-product experience would be highly advantageous.
• Experience taking system enhancements or technology projects through to implementation would be beneficial.
• Comfortable working with regional stakeholders and technology teams across different locations.
• Good technical literacy and the ability to work effectively with developers and application teams would be advantageous; exposure to Java or similar application-development environments is a plus, but hands-on coding is not required.
